A calmer routine begins and ends with a clean workspace.
Before use
Inspect the working end for damage, sharp burrs, loose parts or debris. Do not use a damaged tool. Place tools on a stable surface with good lighting. Follow the care instructions supplied with the actual item and any product used alongside it.
Brushes
Remove leftover product promptly with a method confirmed compatible with the brush and product. Avoid crushing, pulling or cutting bristles. Reshape gently and let the working end dry before storage. Do not assume every brush tolerates acetone, alcohol, heat or prolonged soaking.
Files and buffers
Brush away loose dust gently. Abrasive faces wear with use; replace a tool when its surface is damaged or no longer suitable. Do not wash, soak or disinfect an abrasive tool unless the item instructions expressly allow it. Keep personal-use abrasives separate.
Detail tools and accessories
Remove residue without scraping or bending tips. Follow the actual material instructions for cleaning and disinfection. A clean-looking surface is not proof of sterilization. Do not share tools unless an appropriate, validated hygiene process is available for that tool.
Storage
Store dry, protected from dust and out of reach of children and pets. Keep sharp or pointed ends covered where suitable protection is supplied. Do not leave tools in direct heat or mixed loosely with objects that could damage their tips.
When to replace
Retire a tool if a working surface splits, a tip bends, a handle loosens or cleaning cannot remove residue. These general suggestions do not replace the instructions delivered with the product.
